(More customer reviews)ok, so what can you really say about tape.....i actually purchased some of this stuff at a local hardware store, and the best thing about it is the width. if you are going to do painting, you need to use tape that is atleast 2" wide. when you are taping off windows, doors and even the floor and ceiling, you'll be thankful for the extra coverage, especially if you are using a roller, which can be uncontrollable at times. personally, i use brushes only, so the extra width is nice if you want to use a larger brush, and not get paint on a smaller one...the other nice thing about wide tape is being able to wrap it around objects like phone circuits, alarm boxes, door stoppers, and doorknobs.

(More customer reviews)I recently ran out of 3M blue tape while masking off the baseboards of some walls I was painting. I have always cursed 3M tape for being ridiculously overpriced, and I when I saw the more affordable Duck brand tape in the store, I thought "How much worse could it be?" The answer: several magnitudes worse.
When the description promises "Clean Release", you may believe them. The tape doesn't stick to ANYTHING. Not to walls, not to baseboards, and barely to itself. I could not stretch the tape more than a foot without losing all of the progress I had made up to that point. The product is ineffective for its intended purpose. Until something better comes along, I guess I'm still at the mercy of 3M.

(More customer reviews)As a test I glued a small saucer and expresso cup together with the UGLU tape and then hung it upside down by the bottom of the saucer, also with UGLU tape, up on my office ceiling. It fell off the next day. The pictures I used the tape for to hold on my wall are continually being pressed back into place because they are starting to come off. I cannot trust this product for anything other than gluing paper together. Very disappointing and a waste of money, I do not recommend it to anyone and my rating is an F+.

The writer that had the tape peel off 3 layers of paint AND the drywall paper must have had defective drywall and/or poor prep on the previous painting jobs. The adhesive is NOT strong enough to pull all of that off after just a few hours. I've left it in place for more than a month with no problem.

(More customer reviews)This thing has really sped up my paint prep. I've never been able to tape off a 15 ft wall with one single piece, but this lets you do that. While it basically does the taping for you, you still need to use some technique. For example, applying tape the a thin 1/4" edge, like the top of your baseboard, is a bit tricky.
Giving it 4 out of 5 because the tape tearer could work better and one of the wheels fell off of my model after 2 rooms of usage. I'm hoping to fix that on my own.
One bummer, it requires a smaller 30 yard roll "Type C"

They state it in Celcius because most people in America don't use Celcius or understand Celcius. -10 in Celcius is +14 in Fahrenheit. So if you live where it gets 14 degrees you could have a problem.

(More customer reviews)well, it's the strongest type of tape there is. It does what it's supposed to do, sticks stuff to things. Foam tape is usually a last resort for things that just wont stay with anything else. The only downside is that if you ever want to remove it it's a pain. But I suppose I'll just deal with it if and when that time comes. They're little tabs about the size of a .....rectangular penny? Yeah I guess that'll do. Maybe a little smaller than the smallest stamp you can think of? Is that good? oh well, they stick, and that's what counts in the end. Use a bunch of them at a time if you'd like to feel safe about it.

Gorilla Tape 1.88-Inch by 35-Yard Tape Roll Review

(More customer reviews)As the advertisements suggest, this tape will stick to brick and virtually any other surface. Be careful though, because it might just strip the paint upon removal. This was the painful lesson I learned when trying to temporarily hold some video cables to my wall and ceiling. Even when using a hair dryer to soften the adhesive, I was not able to prevent the paint from getting ripped off, no mater how gentle I was.
Despite my lack of success with the hair dryer, the only area where I have seen Gorilla Tape fail is in moderately-high temperature applications. For example, I wanted to use the tape to patch small leaks around the exhaust hose of a new portable air conditioner. The warm air would simply soften the adhesive over time, causing it to fall off.
It would be nice if a version of Gorilla Tape had nylon filaments, similar to strapping tape. While strong, Gorilla Tape does not have the tensile strength provided by such reinforcing fibers. This feature would then allow Gorilla Tape to be employed in a number of other applications where it could serve as a structural element instead of merely a bonding medium. Pros

(More customer reviews)So we needed to paint our house...inside and outside. Man what a task, but I could not have done it without lots and lots of this blue painters tape.
Buying an individual roll at the home improvement stores is fine if you are only doing one room, however, we knew we were going to need a lot more than one roll for the job.
Also, you can use this for labeling boxes. I keep a black sharpie and a roll of blue tape in the junk drawer and I use it at least once or twice a week to label stuff.
