At which point my youngest son decides he wants Daddy to build him a clubhouse. What do I look like, Mike freakin' Brady? I sure HOPE not, if you catch my drift.
Fortunately for me, I had the computer on to download real-time stats from the race. In order to stop his crying (not to mention Darla's nagging), I waited until a commercial break, then popped over here to Amazon.com and found the perfect solution! Sure, it's supposed to be a tool-shed, but the durable all-weather vinyl and double doors work perfectly for my purposes! Best of all, I didn't have to spend any time getting lumber, taking measurements, or bonding with the boys while building a REAL clubhouse!
Since the little crybaby will lose interest in it after, like, a week, I didn't bother to get the separate foundation kit. I'm sort of bummed that gift-wrapping wasn't available, since that would have added a nice touch of sarcasm.
I will say this: thanks to the Woodbridge Shed 10'x10', I've become "Wonder Dad." Even my older son Seth is impressed; he and his girlfriend keep going out there to admire my ingenuity!

I put it to the test and hummingbirds seemed to think it worked fine. Really didn't need twelve but will make other feeders come spring !!

It's easy to make your own hummingbird feeder with these inexpensive, foolproof feeder tubes. Use any type bottle, jar or other container for liquid. All you need is an opening into which you push the rubber stopper on the feeder tube. The stopper is tapered and measures 1" at the top and 5/8" at the bottom. The curved plastic tube has a red tip to attract hummingbirds. Potters will find these feeder tubes perfect for completing a handmade feeder. For the crafts-minded person, plastic pop bottles make excellent containers. You can also use glass jars with lids. Just drill a hole in the lid and insert the feeder. (More customer reviews)I purchased 8 benches - 4 for our house and 4 as house warming gifts for friends who relocated to the country. These benches were a breeze to put together. After thinking it over I decided to incorporate 2x6s in place of 2x4s where I could to prevent warping. 2x6 lumber fits perfect into this construction. I've attached photos above - check 2x6 construction. the 2x4 braces below make for solid shake-free benches. I sanded and finished mine with three coats of Thompsons "Honey Gold" tint Watersealant. After this summer and winter in OK I'll report back on how well these held up. All construction so far has been 6 feet long.
You have to realize it's wood you're working with and prepare accordingly. Measure to get the most of each cut from the length wood you buy. I purchased #2 Douglas Fir - it's a bit stronger than framing lumber.

(More customer reviews)I recently built an EASY UP to store my lawn tractor behind my garage. The directions were simple to follow and I liked not having to cut any angles. Project was completed in less than two hours. Used treated lumber and coated wood screws. Covered the entire structure with a used billboard cover made of poly coated canvas - plain white side out - purchased for $20.00 I think this thing will last for years.
I rated it four stars because I think they could have made the hardware a little stronger.

(More customer reviews)This shed is awesome! I put it up in about 4 hours alone. That did not include the 3 hours it took me to make a plywood platform or the good hour and 10, yes 10, tubes of silicone caulk I used to seal it. (Overall time, 8 hours of labor).
I'm not one who generally uses instructions since I know instructions are not usually written by the person or people who actually designed the product. I used the provided instructions for a guide, they worked good enough. I did have to redo a couple steps, but it didn't bother me. Things like this are like a jigsaw puzzle, just have fun with it and you'll be OK.
Once you get the box near to where you're going to set up the shed, the parts are all lightweight and easy to move. After you figure out how a couple panels fit together, it's really simple. Even the roof was not hard. After reading a couple reviews on other websites I thought this thing would be really hard to set up. It was surprisingly easy. I've built playhouses and tree houses from scratch, taught myself how to weld, extensively modified my own vehicles, and have commanded counter-insurgency operations overseas with special forces. So, what is sometimes easy for me, may be hard for you.
The one thing I did NOT like about the shed were the two flimsy and cracked skylight panels (yes, mine arrived cracked, but I fixed them with caulk). You also have to use a whole lot of silicone if want this shed to be water tight.
But, this shed does not look cheap like a metal one, the panels are light and won't cut your hands like a metal shed, this shed won't rust, and it won't cost you an arm and a leg like a good wood shed. I love it for storing my yard equipment and pool supplies. It's nice to no it won't be degraded by chemicals like chlorine. It's also pretty sturdy and I have walked on it without falling through the roof, so that seems like a good sign.

(More customer reviews)This is a fantastic out-building. It was relatively easy. I put it together with my dad over a 2 day period. It went smoothly, the instructions were great, and there really were no issues until we got to the roof portion. It almost seems like they got tired of writing a great instruction manual and the roof portion left much to be desired. If you read it all slowly and let it all set in, it makes sense. Just read the entire roof section several times and then begin. The more you absorb before beginning the less back tracking you will have.
Over all, A great product and I am very pleased with the purchase. It's HUGE!

Arrow Oakbrook Storage Building - 10ft. x 14ft. Review

(More customer reviews)My father and I recently tackled the assembly of Arrow's 10'x14' Oakbrook Storage Building. The shed's design is relatively basic and comes with enough nuts, bolts and screws (including a packet of extra screws and bolts) to complete the job. Also provided are plastic washers, weather stripping tape and trim.
This was my father's third Arrow shed to assemble in seven years and my first. Even with his experience, we caught ourselves making a mistake here and there. Why? Because the included instructions aren't always that clear. The illustrations were a bit vague at times. They didn't clearly show how a particular part of the shed needed to be positioned or which way it was meant to be turned. The written instructions were a bit hard to decipher at times also.
Once the floor was down and the corner walls up, the assembly went fairly quickly. With one power drill, two screwdrivers, a ladder, a five-gallon bucket (which doubled as a step ladder and stool), a socket wrench, crescent wrench, and not-so-ideal wind conditions, it took us one and a half days to complete this project.
The pros of this shed include the sturdiness of the structure ONCE IT IS COMPLETE. My father reminded me of this as we put the seemingly flimsy structure together. Once the braces and corner walls were in place, though, I had to admire the strength of the little building. For even more proof of this shed's strength, know that the other shed's that my father put together held up against hurricanes Rita and Ike and a sideswipe from hurricane Gustav. Another pro is that the screw and bolt holes lined up almost perfectly. We ran into only four instances in which there were missing holes. This was remedied using self-tapping screws.
Cons include the terrible screws that were provided. On the average, one out of every five screws would strip even when placed in a perfectly positioned hole and screwed in with a screwdriver. The aforementioned poor instructions are probably the biggest con of all.
Now that I have one under my belt, I feel confident that I'll be able to put my next arrow shed together in a shorter amount of time and with less mistakes. The completed building is impressive and does a fine job of storing things such as my trusty lawnmower, my daughter's bike and plenty of tools, paint, fishing gear, etc. Recommended to anyone who has a need for storage on their property. Invite a friend over for a beer and spring this little project on them.
