A great addition for the sports' minded collector! This lighted building for The Original Snow Village features basketball lamps that light and a goalpost on the end of the building. Made of ceramic and only 8.5" tall this piece was designed and manufactured exclusively for Department 56.

(More customer reviews)Having a clean shop should be a priority to any boat builder or wood worker. I am a tool columnist for a leading boat-building magazine. It is my good fortune to have tested this system by Shop Vac. I use other dust collecting systems but they are expensive and hard to route around uneven walls or obstacles. Most other large systems also use metal tubing. Dealing with clogs in any metal system can be a giant exercise. Shop Vac's two and one half inch system is not exactly small but smaller and much easier to route than four or six inch piping. With a powerful six and one quarter horsepower Shop Vac Ultra Pro vacuum cleaner this system eats chunks, chips and saw dust all day long with a low noise level. The very tight sealing yellow blast gates allow you to switch from machine to machine with great ease. You can also install sweep stations every so often so you don't have to move the Shop Vac.
One of the features I enjoyed best is the fact that the tubing and fittings seal very tight without the use of glue. The kit can be added to with accessories from Shop Vac as individuals or more than one kit if you have a bigger shop with more machines. This system even keeps up with my biggest planer but I keep the Planer as close as possible to the Vacuum unit. The best overall feature is the small cost for such a valuable system. I also know for a fact that the customer service at Shop Vac is of the highest quality like their products. The made in the USA sticker gives this system another high mark in my review. For a much smaller outlay of cash your wood shop and power tools can all use the same centralized vacuum unit.
The bottom line is you get a super shop vacuum system that can fit any budget or shop space and you only need a wet dry shop vac. I recommend this to all skill levels and machine types used in our home shops. It will improve the dust collection and safety factor of your shop. The Shop Vac Corporation has made an affordable sophisticated system for our home shops. They have proved that they not only make excellent vacuums but they also provide superior accessories that anyone can afford. Try one you'll like it.

Coat Rack, Free Standing, 3 Hooks, 69" High, Chrome Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this to use as a towel rack in my small bathroom. Putting it together I soon realized why it's so cheap.
The end caps for the legs and top hooks are made of a very flimsy, brittle plastic, and they do not fit properly. Several of them broke when I tried to put them on. The ones that didn't break were misaligned, leaving sharp metal ends bare.
The bolts are completely visible after assembly. Not just the heads of the bolts - you can also see the shaft of the bolt between two parts. Things don't line up flush with each other.
And finally, it is very unstable. A towel I was using caught on one of the hooks and flung the rack at my face. I ended up with a fat lip and a cut.
I promptly threw it out and spent the money to buy a nice towel rack, like I guess I should have done at the start.

The heavy duty one is longer and provides more options for the install - the little one is shorter and isn't as flexible. Anyway, this is a great product, easy to set up, and gives you peace of mind that your A/C won't go crashing out the window. No brainer.

Easy Heat AHB-013 Cold Weather Valve and Pipe Heating Cable Review

(More customer reviews)I am using this heat tape to keep a standpipe and spigot from freezing outside the horse barn. It must be laid flat on the pipe as opposed to twisting it around the length of the pipe. For a long running pipe, this is the correct unit, but be sure to order the proper length.

Temperature-controlled cable runs straight along pipe and valves, held in place by application tape and plugs into grounded electrical outlet. Keeps water flowing down to -380. For odd lengths of pipe over 3/4 inches in diameter, we recommend two separate cables on opposite sides of the pipe with up to 3 feet of overrun at center of pipe run. Metal pipe requires 1/2-inch fiberglass insulation around cable. For plastic pipe, its recommended wrapping pipe with aluminum foil before cable installation. The traditional resistance cable produces a fixed amount of heat based on the electrical line feed. It comes with a built-in thermostat that switches the flow of electricity on and off based on temperature. Cable installs fast and easy. Each package contains grounded plug, built in thermostat and instructions. Cable has weather resistant PVC outer jacket and inner insulation. Keeps water flowing down to 40 F.

(More customer reviews)The sides are made of thin, cheap plastic that bend easily; the structure does not have a tight fit making it difficult to align the doors and leaving numerous cracks that will allow bugs to come in at will and the instructions were very poor and caused unnecessary delay. I truly regret having purchased this product and this negative experience is likely to affect future similar purchases from Amazon. If it wasn't so difficult I would disassemble the shed, repack it and return it!

At which point my youngest son decides he wants Daddy to build him a clubhouse. What do I look like, Mike freakin' Brady? I sure HOPE not, if you catch my drift.
Fortunately for me, I had the computer on to download real-time stats from the race. In order to stop his crying (not to mention Darla's nagging), I waited until a commercial break, then popped over here to Amazon.com and found the perfect solution! Sure, it's supposed to be a tool-shed, but the durable all-weather vinyl and double doors work perfectly for my purposes! Best of all, I didn't have to spend any time getting lumber, taking measurements, or bonding with the boys while building a REAL clubhouse!
Since the little crybaby will lose interest in it after, like, a week, I didn't bother to get the separate foundation kit. I'm sort of bummed that gift-wrapping wasn't available, since that would have added a nice touch of sarcasm.
I will say this: thanks to the Woodbridge Shed 10'x10', I've become "Wonder Dad." Even my older son Seth is impressed; he and his girlfriend keep going out there to admire my ingenuity!
