Usually, I would pick this up at a Hardware store but Amazon Prime gives me free shipping on this bulky item (I don't understand how they can make much money on such items) and therefore saves time.

It needed to meet some parameters, like scale and aesthetically perfect. I was thrilled to come across this product. It fits perfectly and is somewhat mesmerizing as the skaters move across the ice. Usually I have put my winter village by now. Not this year. It makes me smile and makes my day everyday.

(More customer reviews)I grew up with a painter (my grandmother), so I have enough experience with hanging paintings... but when I moved to a new city, I didn't have any of the tools I needed to hang paintings on the wall. This kit is perfect! The wire is very sturdy yet surprisingly light weight, and bends easily so it's no problem to wind it around itself at the back of the picture to secure it. I hung a couple very heavy acrylic paintings on canvas with solid wood frames, and have had no problems at all (I used two hooks on the wall to hold up each painting since they were so heavy). Nailing the hanger hook to the wall is very simple and straight forward. I haven't used the eye hooks yet, since the frames I bought already had hooks on the back (just no wire), so I can't comment on how to get those in or how well they work. Just one note, make sure you have some wire cutters (many sets of pliers have wire cutters on the inside hinge), as the metal wire would be too strong to cut any other way, but cuts easily with wire cutters.

I would suggest wiping your walls down before sticking them up. Also, the directions do say to hold them on the wall when you first adhere them.
I really like them a lot. Very cute for our nursery.

(More customer reviews)I like that this pack has more than just Elmo in it. My 15 month old son just loves them! They are easy to apply, and are very easy to remove and reposition. However, they are not opaque enough for brightly painted walls. You can see the wall color through them, so Big Bird ends up with a slightly green cast when placed on a blue wall, etc. Also, I wish they included more of the traditional characters, like Grover, Bert and Ernie, and others.

I dont know if I got a bad batch or what but every morning I go to my daughters room to get her up, the border has fallen off the wall. I have tried everything to get it to stay back on and its just not working! Get glue border, at least you know it will stay on!!! I would love to have another sent to me to try it out, or get my money back. It was a waist of my time and money!!
