(More customer reviews)This is the 2nd Rubbermaid large shed I have. I still have the other one, but since I live in Florida and we have hurricanes, I bought this shed to store my generator. These sheds are very easy to assemble if you read the directions and "slide" the floor in, instead of trying to snap the floor into place. It is also most helpful to have another persons available to assist you during assembly. Since I wanted the shed to store a particular item, it would have been helpful to me for the manufactor to list "inside" as well as outside measurments". This particular shed is practical, durable, and with the two front doors and top that opens, is easy accessible.

Rubbermaid 3746 Deep Large Vertical Storage Shed, 52-inch x 77-inch x 32-inch Review

(More customer reviews)This RUBBERMAID shed which was not cheap for it small size, held up for EXACTLY, 1 year and 3 months. The doors seems a bit warped, and actually did measure, about 1/8" warp, in the mid-panel on one door. While the poorly designed door assembly will fit into place at installation, the design mechanism to HOLD them in place, is far too flimsy for the weight of the doors to be maintained for any long period of time. So, if a wind in excess of 20mph comes along, be careful. The design is terrible, both doors, went flying down our driveway on winter day with a 20-25mph, moderate wind gust, definitely, NOT SEVERE! These Rubbermaid doors, never stayed on after that, the nipples that held them in placed, were damaged by scraping on cement. We had to scrap the entire shed.
If you call Rubbermaid's Customer Service, don't be surprised when their people give you a hard time, don't give you much in the way of troubleshooting and tell you: "YOU MUST HAVE INSTALLED SOMETHING WRONG" or "IT STATES ON THE PACKING BOX, DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT IN HIGH WINDS." After spending the time to read the instructions assemble the unit, load it up with garden tools etc., how many people want to take it down each time a 20 mph breeze comes along? Their Customer Service people were terrible and make no attempt at all, to troubleshoot, and didn't care at all, our expensive garden equipment was exposed to the elements and to theft. There's nothing written, about "high winds" on the actual instructions, but they'll tell you, it's on the BOX and you should have noted that. And, exactly what is a high wind, 25mph? They sure don't say. Be persistent, they won't send you replacement doors even if they are defective, but they'll send you a lot of other components that won't work 2 months later later. You'll have a hard time convincing them, but keep calling, you might get the one person who isn't arrogant and condescending to help you...there really is only one person there who tried to help; we talked to about 4.
We had a lot of confidence in Rubbermaid before this shed incident, but now would never even consider any of their products agains for outdoor storage. By the way, we're not in a very windy area, we're in the middle of Pennsylvania! So, can you imagine how many times anyone who lives in a Tornado or Hurricane zone, would have to disassemble their unit?

One note: it sais that is has 5 times thicker vynil on it then any others... I'd like to see how thick are those others because it was very thin :). Other than it great.

(More customer reviews)This is a solid body storage building exactly as advertised. My goal was to store a mower, trimmer, blower, gas and miscellaneous items. I had to build a shelf (not included) notch it to fit and install it before putting roof in place. It works great for gas and miscellaneous items leaving room for taller items but they must be tilted some. If you have a mower with retractable handles (which I do not) it will fit in this building. (So mower is still out) Other than that it has cleared up the mess in the back and locks the flammables up too.
Be careful to read instructions because it would be very difficult to take pieces apart after clicked into place.
If you are planning to store a mower I would recomend a larger unit just for ease of use. This one is great for a lot of gardening supplies but I think they should provide at least 2 or more shelves.

(More customer reviews)I really should have gotten this years ago. I live in an area ruled by home owner association bylaws and building a proper shed was not an option. This product is perfect for small yards, or limited spaces and really does assemble in 15 minutes or less.
Actually, a friend and I had time to not read the instructions, try and assemble it wrong, read the instructions we should have read and then assemble it correctly in less than 15 minutes.
I threw 6 16" square concrete pavers down as a base and the shed fit perfectly. It is large enough to hold two full size garbage cans, but I use it to hold backyard tools, birdseed, potting supplies and other gardening accessories.
Two spots in the back are fashioned so you can drill the unit to solid vertical surface for additional support, like a fence, or a wall. I'd use a decent size screw/bolt and washers. You can add two shelves in ready-made depressions. Standard wooden shelving boards work fine, but notch the back corners to get it to fit correctly.
There is a plastic hasp for a lock, so if you're worried about someone other than a kid poking through your stuff, the plastic hasp is not going to stop a serious thief and will give them less trouble to cut than the lock you put on it.
I like it, but if you've got security issues and stuff you would hate to lose, keep your valuables in something where the lock mechanism isn't part plastic.

(More customer reviews)1.) Delivery: We received the shed in record time! We even got to schedule the delivery based on our preferred date and time (through a local freight service). Very convenient!
2.) Assembly: We were dreading the project thinking it would take hours or days for my husband (who is not an engineer) and I (7 months pregnant)to figure it out and put it together. To our surprise, it wasn't bad at all! We had a couple of frustrating moments (trying to decipher the picture in the manual), but overall the assembly was very straight-forward and simple (didn't even use a power drill, though you can if you want of course). Total time it took to assemble: Approx. 4 Hours (remember: non-engineer & pregnant lady).
3.) Result: A roomy and solid shed, a great value, and two satisfied customers!
Note: We did our research, and for the price, this was by far the best value for a shed of this size!

(More customer reviews)This took me about a day and half to assemble with some help from my wife and my 8 yr old. :) Solid construction and very nice looking. Tip of the day: Make very sure that your foundation is level at all corners! The more off bubble you go the harder it will be to align this thing as it goes up. Also, when constructing my foundation, I went just a bit larger than the instructions called for and used some 2" x 2" aluminum flashing to protect the outside edges of the exposed flooring. This gave me some leeway on squaring the building onto the foundation. If you build to an exact measurement the result of any slight miscalculation will be overly apparent once you get to the roofing section and cause you nightmares. One more thing, the "weather stripping" included with the shed is just duct tape. You can find better alternatives at your local hardware store.
