Omron HEM-711AC Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor with Standard Cuff Review

(More customer reviews)Two of the previous reviewers noted that their monitors didn't accurately read their blood pressure. I'm wondering if they made the same mistake that I made with my first two readings. My first two readings were 20 points higher than normal!! And then I read the instructions and realized that the air pump had to be on the same side as the palm of your hand. Tried a third time, making sure I had the air pump properly positioned. The next reading was normal. What a relief.
When I was researching which monitor to get, I debated between the Omron HEM-780 and this one. For whatever reason, the HEM-780 sells more on Amazon. The only advantages I could see, however, were that it had a larger cuff, a so-called Comfit cuff, and saves the last 90 readings rather than the last 60. What sold me on this unit, however, was a feature that the HEM-780 doesn't have -- an irregular heart beat indicator (not mentioned in the Amazon.com description but shown in the PDF of the owner's manual at www.omronhealthcare.com). Since the 9"-13" upper arm cuff was fine for me, I bought this unit and it's perfect for my needs. The Omron technology is otherwise the same for both units and the cuff on this unit is also comfortable so no need for the Comfit cuff. If you need a larger cuff (up to 17"), buy the HEM-780. If not, save the $12, get the same technology with the added bonus of the irregular heart beat indicator.

(More customer reviews)I love how this looks when the fairies, pixie dust, and saying glow in the dark.It looks absolutely wonderful. Of course the glow doesn't last long once there is no light so if it gets dark at five or six it isn't glowing by the time your child goes to bed. If you turn on the light for fifteen minutes before they go down it will glow for five or ten minutes.
I also like the butterflies, they don't glow but they are very cute.
I do not like the big plant things, they look strange with the fairies, make it look cluttered and it doesn't glow. You can't see it at all in the dark and it takes away from the fairies when there is light.
End result, I don't regret getting this. It looks very cute when its glowing and the fairies look cute in the light but I will probably take down the plant things and throw them out. The other glow in the dark fairies would have been a better option because they have more fairies and everything glows. It is also by Blue Mountain but it is probably much better.

Easy Step Pet Ramp Review

(More customer reviews)These steps were about the best plastic ones I could find but they are just okay. Other steps commercially available were way too small and narrow and definitely not suitable for our 10-year-old 50lb boxer. These were, at least, easy to assemble. These steps "give" a bit when she steps on them and the lightweight, hollow plastic pieces make the unit feel less-than-sturdy even when placed on a non-slip rug. The steps are are tilted at a slight upward angle which makes them a little awkward for her when decending, a simple right angle step would have been better. Overall, she doesn't really care for them and they are now just taking up space in our closet. For inexpensive plastic steps, these are okay, just not the steps I was hoping for. I guess I'll have to build my own wooden ones to get the quality I really want.

The block fit together well and the assembled shapes hold together well. The variety of shapes is not the greatest (no circles, for example) but they do provide a lot of fun.

(More customer reviews)I picked up one of these on sale at Target. Ours is neither pastel nor primary colours, something in between I think, with a white frame. I'd love to get another set, or even two, but they are terribly overpriced considering what you get and you have to put it together which can be dodgy. I think if I could find some somewhere for less that forty bucks I would buy again, otherwise it's just not worth it.

Bona 4oz Hardwood Floor Cleaner Concentrate Review

(More customer reviews)According to a local cleaning supply store, Bona X ("brand name") and Woodwise ("generic") are made by the same company...but they have a very different price. This 4 oz Bona concentrate is $6, and I got 32oz Woodwise concentrate for $8...same blue color.
I'm just writing this review to save other people some money. Woodwise is outstanding and cleaned up my floors unlike the previous "professional floor cleaner" I had been using. I'm giving Bona a 5 star rating because these are basically the same cleaner. I'd feel bad if I was taking any business away from Bona, but since they are the same company I chose to put my 2 cents in. Check out your local cleaning supplier :)
