Woodstream M323 Mouse Trap Review

This is a fantastic trap, much more economical than the "Havahart" brand. We bought two of these and one of the metal cages (Havahart) yesterday at our local hardware store to deal with our eruption of mice. While the metal cage can only catch one at a time (difficult to set, mice were escaping, we only got one this morning) the Victor traps had 5 in each of them this afternoon!
That was 10 total between the two!! We were able to humanely release the little critters at a field nearby.
The only CON was we were not able to tell the traps held mice. They were probably full since this morning but they are hard to see into and it wasn't until we heard scratching that we looked. Even when we examined them, we thought they only had captured 2 or 3.
Check these traps often, all of ours survived but much longer and I doubt they would have made it.
Excellent trap. People saying the mice are escaping should examine the ramp system, we noticed it was sticking when we cleaned them for more use this afternoon.

Woodstream Corporation M023 Mouse Traps Review

I recently ordered this product to take care of an infestation that me and my community were forced to deal with. The following is an accurate account of the product's failure to fully eliminate the infestation.
It all began after the simultaneous launch of the world's store of nuclear weapons by some fluke of the internet on New Years Eve, 2000. A day we will all never forget. The few of us smart enough to have fallout shelters during Y2K were well stocked for almost any contingency, but failed to foresee what will truly be our demise. How could any of us know that the nuclear fallout would breed giant nuclear rats?
We held them off with the weapons that we had stored, but soon ran out of ammunition and were forced to resort to hand-to-hand combat as the rats soon learned to use their new-found apposable thumbs, as well as our discarded weapons. Down to the last 30 known survivors, we all put our heads together and decided to order the Woodstream #M150 2PK Metal Petal Mousetrap. The internet got us into this mess, the internet would be our salvation.
The package arrived the next day, everything just as we expected only that the traps seemed to be made for average sized rats! How were we to defeat these monstrosities using average sized mouse traps? Our situation looks bleak, and no thanks to this product, we may all parish.
Even though this outrageous oversight may be the reason for the end of the human race, I could see how this product would work pretty well for an average sized rat and will go ahead and give it 5 stars.

Intruder, Inc. 16112 Mouse And Rodent Traps Review

Had mice in my basement and my children often play down there. Needed something that would not hurt them, I bought these for that reason. They are easy to set and I can't imagine these hurting a person's finger. I place a bit of peanut butter on each and they do the job. Caught three mice in two days. I noticed that you can release the dead mouse into the trash without touching it, since the unit is made of hard plastic, I cleaned and reused. This justified the inflated price for these.

Victor M201 Rat Trap Review

I live and work in Iraq and let's say that conditions over here aren't the most sanitary. The rats here are 6+ inches, not including the tail! The little 3" traps just don't do the trick; I put some out and the next day they were all gone. I guess the rats are building a gym or something. The glue traps just kept the rats alive and meant I had to... uh... "deal" with them mafia style. Poison isn't so good either as the rats just eat and go off and die somewhere, leaving a dead rat body to find.
Anyway, these things are no joke. Very sturdy and a wicked snap. Sounds like a gun going off when they snap closed.
Don't know why they manufacturer recommends using them only once. I handle them with rubber gloves and haven't died yet, despite decreasing the rat population by seven with one trap.

Tradional snap-type rat trap. Hardwood base and very strong spring make this a great choice to get rid of rats and mice.

Victor M265 Kill & Seal Mouse Trap, 2-Pack Review

Victor M265 Kill and Seal Mouse Trap, 2-Pack

I purchased four of these mouse traps (2 boxes of 2-packs) because I wanted to avoid the mess of traditional traps and glue strips. Unfortunately, only ONE of the four mouse traps actually worked. One caught a mouse, but the other three act as peanut butter feeding stations for the mice. With each of the three defective traps, the peanut butter I put inside them had been cleaned out (multiple times) and the mice left thank you notes in the traps.
I suspect these traps are just designed poorly due to their plastic parts. The plastic lever you push down to arm the trap gives some resistance, but there is a click sound when the lever is pushed all the way down, which should mean the trap is armed.
At over $4.50 per mouse trap ($9.60 for the 2-pack box), I expected these two work better. From my experience these work WORSE than the traditional Victor wood and metal mouse traps.
I have also ordered the "Victor Professional Electronic Mouse Trap" ($26 here at Amazon.com). Hopefully that will work better.
After reviewing all of the Victor product feedback here at Amazon, the reviews are either "this thing is great" or "this thing doesn't work at all" or "this thing worked but died quickly". To me that is evidence of either poor design or poor manufacturing quality control.

The cleanest innovation in the history of rodent control, the Victor Kill & Seal Mouse Trap is the world's first hygienic mouse trap.Mice carry harmful parasites such as fleas and ticks which may carry Lyme disease. When a mouse dies, these parasites look for a new host such as another mouse, your pets, your kids or you! Traditional mouse traps kill the mouse but do not contain parasites and bodily fluids. The Kill & Seal mouse trap kills the mouse quickly and humanely while sealing in the disease-carrying parasites, urine, feces and blood. The Victor Kill & Seal mouse trap can be used anywhere in the home and is safe for use around kids and pets.It is the Clean & Safe way to rid your home of mice while protecting your family from nasty parasites and dangerous bodily fluids. The Kill & Seal hygienic mouse trap is the first of its kind. With a No-Touch No-See No-Cleanup design, the Kill & Seal is incredibly easy to use.Unscrew the bait sealing hatch, place a little bit of peanut butter inside the hatch and then screw the hatch back into the trap.Push the red trap handle down to open the patented red fluid-tight door and set the internal kill bar.Place the trap next to a wall with the red door closest to the wall. For best results, place multiple traps at 2 to 3 foot intervals along walls in different areas of the home where rodents travel. When a mouse and its disease-carrying parasites are caught, the red trap handle will move to the upward position and the red fluid-tight door will seal shut.Simply throw away the one-time use disposable trap.Do not push the red trap handle back down as parasites may then escape when the door opens. With 100% kill rate and 100% seal rate, the Victor Kill & Seal is the world’s first 100% hygienic mouse trap.No mouse will escape, no parasites will escape and no fluids will leak from the trap. With the Victor Kill & Seal, you will never need to touch, see or clean up after a dead mouse again!
