(More customer reviews)Well, OK, you can't take a bath in it or use it on delicate surfaces like finished wood and nonstick cookware, but for just about any hard nonporous material, it's the cleaner to reach for.
It's the Fountain of Youth for your stainless steel cookware, removing rainbow heat marks and mineral discoloration with minimal elbow grease. Used with a lighter touch, it makes your heirloom Corning Ware original Pyroceram cookware sparkle like the day Mom bought it. Ditto for Pyrex and Anchor Hocking glass ovenware, as well as stoneware slow cookers. I use it to clean those little specks off the window in the oven door after a self-cleaning cycle. The window's as clear as the day they delivered the stove.
If you're a fan of unlined copper bowls for beating egg whites, you already know about tarnish. A couple minutes with some Bar Keeper's Friend, and that copper bowl is ready for another batch of meringue or Belgian waffles.

I actually prefer the fingerprints we had to the streaks that result when you use the wipes. I had better luck using plain water on a paper towel. Where is Billy Mays when you need him?

Homax 50333015 Magic Complete Stainless Steel, 14-Ounce Trigger Spray Review

(More customer reviews)I am writing this review as someone who has only tried this brand of stainless steel cleaner. This product doesn't seem to clean especially well. It can remove fingerprints, but it requires a lot of effort and rubbing to do so. I was trying to clean a brand new stainless steel fridge with the product, and was unable to remove the sticky residue that had been left on the front of the fridge where various stickers (such as the price tag and energy star information) had been affixed. While the cleaner's manufacturer claims it is a streak-free formula, it is rather difficult to actually achieve a streak-free surface after cleaning. The product darkened the stainless steel wherever I applied it, which tends to make an appliance look mottled unless you very liberally apply the product over the entire surface. This was also the case when I used it on my stainless steel dishwasher, which is a different brand than my fridge. I would give this product a zero stars for its cleaning capability, but a four stars for its "protecting" capability. It does seem to make your stainless steel appliances more fingerprint resistant, as designed. The product seems closer to a liquid car wax than to a window cleaner. It's a thick white fluid that leaves a coating on your stainless steel that feels a little waxy or greasy. Unfortunately I had purchased the product for the purpose of cleaning, not protecting.
