One is 7 and the other is 1 and 1/2 and believe me the spills can not be prevented. I also works great on my living room carpet. I really love this product and will continue to purchase it through Amazon.

(More customer reviews)This is positively THE WORST home cleaning product purchase I have ever made in my entire life! DO NOT BUY THIS unless you are planning to throw away your carpet, especially if it's light-colored. I thought some new technology had been invented that allowed soap to be dried on and then vacuumed up. But a few days after using it, there were even bigger & nastier stains than before. HORRIBLE PRODUCT! Between all the water, time, and effort expended to get my carpet clean in the spots where I used it, this thing is STILL costing me a fortune. Months later and after 2 self-cleanings, I am still rinsing soap from my carpet.

Ewbank 525 Handy Floor and Carpet Sweeper Review

(More customer reviews)When I first used it I thought it wasn't picking up very much as it barely touched the wood chips from my wood carving. Then I opened it to empty and saw the TON of pet hair inside that I couldn't see in the carpet! On the second try it started picking up the wood chips with ease. Does it replace a vacuum sweeper? No, but its great for quick clean up between vacuuming...especially when someone calls to say they were just in the neighborhood...
