On top of that, the small town lives in an area where severe storms happen 7 months out of the year. When (not if) a storm plows through with 100mph winds, it tends to tear lines and poles down. Sitting in the dark for 30 minutes to an hour happens a lot.
I bought 2 of these emergency lighting lamps and installed them in out-of-the-way areas in my house. They work exactly as described. Every time a severe storm comes through and knocks out the power, I know that my rooms will be lit up by the strong lighting these units put out. No more tripping in pitch blackness, no more smacks in the shin by furniture.
