Soft & Sturdy Jumbo Blocks Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these blocks for my 5 and 2 year old boys at Christmas and they have played with them every day since. Despite the blocks being foam, they are very durable and the only wear is a few teeth marks! The bright colors and soft texture seem to make them irresistible. The boys' imaginations never stop coming up with new ways to use them, and they delight in the tall towers they can make that are relatively stable because of the grippy surface of the foam. These are far superior than the wood type because they are so light they don't hurt or damage the furniture, and the scale and size of the pieces makes them the perfect ramps for little cars and houses for small stuffed animals. Hours of quiet, battery-free fun - probably the best toy purchase I have ever made. A safe bet if you don't know what to get a preschooler.
January 2009: I wrote the above part of this review back in May of 2006 and I am just adding that we are on kid#3 (a girl this time) and these are still in good shape and being played with almost daily.

(More customer reviews)There are only two movies that never fail to hold my one year old daughter's attention. Baby Songs and Princess and The Frog. Recently I decided to update her nursery because she's quickly turning into a little girl. The obvious decor choice was to splatter her entire room in Princess Tiana! Unfortunately, I live in apartment that we can't paint or put holes in the wall! So, when I found these wall clings on Amazon I was really excited and ordered them with some other Princess and The Frog items(bedding, baby doll, barbie). These things are FANTASTIC! They're just as described and depicted. I was really worried they'd pull off paint or leave sticky residue when I pulled them back off, so I tested one out before I applied the rest. They work perfectly and peel right off without leaving any evidence that they were ever there. It comes with a ton of decals, I had enough to put them on every wall. The pack also includes some bendable butterfly stickies that I love as well. Make sure when you peel them off that you do it slowly, however. They're strong decals, but they do tend to tear if you're not careful when you pull them off the sheet. I'll add pictures later.

I bought them to use as decorations for my little one's Monster Themed birthday party. We actually put them up all along the base of our large island we have in the kitchen/living area just yesterday. He had some much fun with it and crawls right to them every chance he gets to point and "talk" to them. I put a few on the mirror in his bathroom, too, which he looks right to and giggles. Simple joys. They are easily removable and will find homes elsewhere around the house after the party, Im sure. Very cute, non-scary monsters :)

I did have one slight problem lining up the right piece with the ruffle on the bottom, but just snipped off about 1 inch of the 'ruffle' and it matches perfectly :) The jewels are an added bonus and there are more than enough jewels to put on this Cinderella. I also used the jewels on the Cinderella height measurer peel and stick decal and STILL had jewels leftever (decorated her necklaces and her headbands).

I found these and for 12 bucks thought it would be great. I have used similar products in the past so I knew how how they worked. I used them in the 2 main empty spaces on the wall in the shape of what framed art would be. It looks cute and matches well. Was a nice inexspensive way to decorate. If you have a ducky theme you really couldn't go wrong.

Brinno GardenWatchCam with Flash Drive, Item GWCTLC130A Review

(More customer reviews)The first GardenWatchCam I received lacked the essential bottom housing plate that contains the tripod mount socket. After an exchange, I found that the camera would only accept flash drives formatted FAT 16, limiting the size of the flash drive. My second unit also has an erratic timer. At the one minute setting, the camera snaps its photos at about 40 second intervals. At the custom 20 second interval, it snaps at 14 second intervals. While tolerable, it also makes the 24 hour setting pretty useless for me.
Brinno's included documentation for the unit is minimal at best.
Two emails to Brinno's customer service have gone unanswered and unacknowledged. It appears that buyers experiencing negative issues with the unit are on their own.
The camera does take acceptable time-lapse movies, but with the issues above, I'd like to warn folks off of it until Brinno becomes more responsible in their quality control and customer service.

The GardenWatchCam is an easy-to-use 1.3 megapixel time lapse camera. Photos are stored as JPEG images for easy playback as a movie file on computer. GardenWatchCam uses a high quality lens to target your chosen gardening area, or a single bloom. GardenWatchCam is designed to take photos atpredetermined time settings chosen by the user. Brita 35548 Classic Pitcher Review

(More customer reviews)I wanted a replacement for my old Brita pitcher and I wanted something simple, without the need for fancy-shmancy batteries/electronics - after all this is just a PITCHER!
This one was the one most similar to the one I had. However, unlike the one I had before, this one does not keep the lid on when there is water in the reservoir trickling through the filter. This means that you can't use the pitcher easily while it's refilling unless you remember to push the lid down with one hand while you pour with the other. Not doing so will result in a disastrous spill each time as the lid will slip off pouring water all over.
Not sure how/why, but the earlier version of this pitcher had a nicely designed fit that this would not happen. Had it been available, I would have purchased it.
