(More customer reviews)I received my Eiffel Tower wire sculpture today and it is everything I'd hoped it would be. I bought a similar sculpture of the Chrysler Building last year after spending our 2009 wedding anniversary in NYC with my hubby. I picked it out because it was inexpensive (Target) and reminded me of our wonderful trip. To my happy surprise, my husband was equally taken by it; I made a mental note, as he's not the easiest man to buy for! :)
This year we marked our special day in Paris, so I was eager to find a similar sculpture to my original, this time in the form of the Eiffel Tower. I ordered this one because it was close to the same size and looked to be made in the same style. I was thrilled to open the package today (two day shipping...thanks again Amazon Prime!) and discover that it's as close to identical as I could have hoped. I can't wait to give this to my husband as a token of yet another amazing anniversary!

This miniature building is worthy of display on the most impressive desk, cabinet, sideboard, or mantel. It is designed in America, but made in China (hence the extremely reasonable price). It is quite sturdy and solid, not flexible at all. The Eiffel Tower is a 19th century iron lattice tower located in Paris that has become both a global icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower, the tallest building in Paris, is the single most visited paid monument in the world; millions of people ascend it every year. This crystal rendition of the Chrysler tower has tremendous detail and captures the artistic expression of the design, especially of the crowning cap of the building. It's been a delight to have on my glass top desk, although I use it to hold snacks or cookies, it is beautiful enough to have sit empty. Sturdy, with keyed, "locking" corners so that the lid won't just slide off. It's a bit trickey to pick the top up since it tapers and the glass edges are rounded and smooth. Just be careful and you'll be ok. Definately not for children to use, at all. I bought my first one at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. After my son broke the lid, I was most pleased to find it offered on Amazon.com and immediately ordered a replacement. Yes, it is a treasured delight to have sitting on my desk where I spend so much time. Now, if there were just one for the Empire State Building and other renowned, stately structures.

Laguna Building The Perfect Pond DVD - Laguna PT982 Review

(More customer reviews)I'm thinking about adding a pond feature to my property and purchased this DVD to give me ideas. Basically it's little more than a "Laguna" pond products DVD. Yes, it covers the very simplest of basics but really doesn't provide enough information to build a good pond much less a "perfect" pond. It did include a calculation for determining a pond liner size but it didn't explain how to calculate/determine pump size, filter size or type. They essentially discussed their products with a few very basic pond ideas and that was about it. Nothing they discussed creates the "Perfect Pond". A couple pond magazines would provide far more information.
Don't waste your money.
